UNEB Sets July 31 Deadline for Late Registration of 2026 National Examination Candidates

UNEB spokesperson Jennifer Kalule Musamba

The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has warned that no candidate registrations for this year’s national examinations will be accepted after July 31, 2026, urging schools to complete the process before the deadline.

Speaking to the media on Monday, UNEB spokesperson Jennifer Kalule Musamba said the window for late registration of candidates for the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE), Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE), and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) will officially close on Friday, July 31.

Kalule appealed to head teachers of both government and private schools to use the remaining days to ensure that all eligible candidates are registered in the UNEB system, warning that no extensions will be granted once the deadline expires.

She emphasized that timely registration is critical to enable candidates to sit their examinations and urged school administrators to verify that all learners expected to take the 2026 national examinations have been successfully captured.

UNEB’s announcement serves as a final reminder to schools ahead of the close of the registration exercise, with the Board maintaining that candidates who miss the deadline risk being excluded from this year’s national examinations.
