Ggaba Daycare Murder Case Trial of Christopher Onyum Okello Kicked-off

High Court Judge Alice Komuhangi is presiding over ongoing witness testimonies in the murder case against Christopher Onyum Okello, who is accused of killing four toddlers at Ggaba Childhood Development Center on April 2, 2026.

The court heard from several parents of the victims, including Stella Apollot, mother of 2.5-year-old Gideon Etiku; Marvin Komaketch, father of 2-year-old Keisha Ruth Ageno; Moses Mbazira, father of 2-year-old Ignitius Sseruyange; and Moses Okurut, father of 1.5-year-old Rayan Odeke.

All the witnesses are residents of Makindye Division in Kampala District.

Earlier proceedings saw the court admit key evidence, including a postmortem report indicating severe neck wounds on the victims.

The accused, Christopher Onyum Okello, had previously pleaded not guilty to four counts of murder.

Despite heavy rains in the afternoon, proceedings continued at the Ggaba Childhood Development Center, where the emotional case is being heard.
