The Permanent Secretary to the Treasury, Ramathan Ggoobi, has called on the Muslim community to pray for peace and unity in Uganda, emphasizing their importance for the country’s social and economic development.
He made the appeal at the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (UMSC) mosque in Old Kampala during IDD prayers.
“Peace and unity are the foundation of social and economic progress, and Muslims must cherish and uphold them,” Ggoobi said.
He also reiterated the government’s commitment to investing in initiatives that empower Ugandans economically, highlighting that development and stability go hand in hand.
