Over 200 Couples Attend 2026 Kampala Marriage Conference

Over 200 married couples are attending the 2026 Marriage Conference, currently underway at Hotel African in Kampala.

Organized by the Bible Society of Uganda in partnership with Life Ministry Uganda, the conference is held under the theme “Equipped for Christian Marriage.”

The event features discussions on key aspects of married life, including strategies for handling misunderstandings and preventing divorce.

Among the dignitaries is Winnie Mary Nakato Fernandes, the Naabafumbo of the Kampala Archdiocese, who urged men to avoid asserting superiority in marriage, noting that such behavior negatively affects women.

She also encouraged women to respect their husbands, highlighting that many young couples mistakenly see themselves as entirely equal in all matters, sometimes leading to disrespect and marital strain.

Nakato further appealed to all married couples to avoid criticism within their relationships, emphasizing that constant criticism can undermine healthy and lasting marriages.
