Ibrahim Musana, popularly known as Pressure 24/7, has been further remanded to Luzira Prison until March 26, 2026, by the City Hall Magistrates Court in Kampala.
Musana faces charges related to hate speech for allegedly sharing content on TikTok claiming that Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba is unfit for office.
He is also accused of two counts of unlawful obtaining of personal data for using the General’s image and name without consent.
Under the Computer Misuse (Amendment) Act, a person convicted of writing, sending, or sharing hate speech can face a fine of up to 15 million Ugandan Shillings, imprisonment for up to seven years, or both.
The Data Protection and Privacy Act provides that the unlawful obtaining or disclosure of personal data, such as using someone’s image or name without consent can result in a fine, imprisonment for up to ten years, or both.
Musana was acquitted last year of similar charges in a separate case, in which he had been accused of making offensive online posts about President Yoweri Museveni, Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi, and other dignitaries.
