The Office of the President has warned the public against fraudsters soliciting money with false promises of securing government appointments.
According to the office, scammers are targeting unsuspecting individuals with claims that they can help them obtain positions such as Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Deputy RDC, or Assistant RDC.
Milly Babirye Babalanda, the Minister for the Presidency, dismissed the claims as false and cautioned the public against falling victim to the scheme.
She urged citizens to verify all government information through official communication channels and not to make any payments in exchange for promised appointments.
The warning was issued in a press statement released by the Office of the President.
