Police Warn Parents After Arrest of Two Boda Boda Riders in Mukono Defilement Case

Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Racheal Kawala

Police have urged parents to exercise heightened vigilance when entrusting their children to transport providers following the arrest of two boda boda riders accused of defiling two schoolgirls in Mukono District.

According to Racheal Kawala, the suspects Ali Sentongo, 27, and Shafik Nsubuga, 25 were arrested in connection with an aggravated defilement case involving a 13-year-old and a 15-year-old pupil.

Police allege that Sentongo had been hired by the victims’ parents to transport the minors to and from school on a daily basis.

However, on February 24, 2026, he allegedly diverted the girls to his home in Kasawo, Mukono District, where he is accused of defiling the 13-year-old before reportedly contacting his associate, Nsubuga, who allegedly defiled the 15-year-old.

The two suspects remain in custody as investigations continue.

Kawala urged parents to thoroughly vet individuals hired to transport their children and to maintain close supervision over their movements to ensure their safety.
