NRM flag bearer Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has urged the people of Kasese district to reject sectarian politics and prioritize peace as a foundation for development.
He made the remarks during a rally at Kisinga Town Council, where he credited the NRM government for bringing stability to the area, which was previously affected by insecurity.
Museveni outlined a three-pronged development approach for Kasese, emphasizing tourism, commercial agriculture, and industrialization as key sectors to unlock the district’s potential.
He also highlighted that with the defeat of ADF rebels in their bases in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Kasese is now positioned for growth and development.
From Kasese, Museveni is set to return to Kampala for his final campaign rally scheduled for tomorrow, January 13, at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds.
