Bishop Dr. Joseph Anthony Zziwa, Chairperson of the Uganda Episcopal Conference (UEC) who is also Bishop of Kiyinda -Mityana Diocese, has praised Sr. Maria Angelica Nabakooza for her amazing 75 years of service to the Lord.
Sr. Nabakooza, the first sister to reach this milestone, has dedicated her life to religious work.
She made her first vows on January 6, 1951, and her final vows on January 6, 1959.
Over the years, she has celebrated many jubilees, including her Silver Jubilee in 1976, Golden Jubilee in 2001, Diamond Jubilee in 2011, and Platinum Jubilees in 2021 and 2026. Each celebration shows her strong faith and dedication.
Bishop Zziwa, who first met Sr. Nabakooza in 1970 at Kisubi Seminary, thanked her for her hard work and the positive impact she has made in all the communities she served.
He also spoke about the upcoming elections in Uganda, asking citizens to vote peacefully and pray for a fair and safe process.
He reminded everyone to take part in the elections while keeping unity and calm.
