The NRM Presidential Candidate Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has launched NRM campaign in Greater Mukono, urging Kayunga residents to assert their power in overseeing service delivery.
He disclosed this while campaigning at Busaana Town council in Kayunga district highlighting key initiatives like Parish Development Model, fighting drug theft in health centers, universal education, and wealth creation.
Museveni wants voters to elect NRM leaders who can monitor government programs and lead by example on wealth creation. He promises to scale up irrigation schemes in Kayunga District.
He also called upon Kayunga residents to identify land for an industrial park, aimed at boosting job opportunities for youths and locals.
Museveni highlights job creation sectors like commercial agriculture, manufacturing, and services, citing success stories.
He emphasized skills training through presidential Industrial Skilling Hubs as a viable job creation avenue.
Museveni thus warned Kayunga residents against neglecting Parish Development Model (PDM) funds, urging them to ensure the fund is operationalized and report corrupt officials emphasizing that proper utilization of PDM funds will meet wealth creation objectives.
