National Resistance Movement Party Presidential Candidate General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni

The National Resistance Movement Party Presidential Candidate General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has proposed for the grant of lease-tenure to occupants of the bare forest land reserve in Nakaseke district for at least 49 years as they plant trees and fast track re-forestation.

The proposal followed a call for grant of free titles to occupants of the land in the question from leaders of Nakaseke District to which the NRM presidential candidate General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni guided as worthy of lease holding instead.

Campaigning in Nakaseke District at Butalangu playground Museveni also promised to fast track the land compensation for absentee landlords, address counterfeit drugs for livestock on the market, address issues of veterans in Nakaseke District and avail new road construction equipment for the district

The National Resistance Movement Party Presidential candidate  Yoweri Kaguta Museveni  advised cattle farmers in Nakaseke District and the entire cattle corridor to embrace modern dairy farming mechanism and land utilisation practices to boost their farm yields and end nomadism

He notes that the average land holding for farmers in Nakaseke District is large enough to accommodate high value milk producing cattle that require lesser pieces of land.

He also demonstrated success stories of high milk producing farms on small acre age that include among others Joseph Ijara from Serere district, Mzee Nayakana from Kabarole among others to emulate.
