The Bishop of Arua Catholic Diocese, Rt. Rev. Sanctus Lino Wanok, has urged Ugandans to reflect on the true meaning of leadership as the country approaches the general elections.
He emphasized that this period should be marked by peace, not violence or killings.
Delivering his Christmas message to the nation and the people of the Lango Sub-Region, Bishop Wanok expressed concern over violations observed during the campaign period.
He noted that such behavior reflects a lack of understanding of leadership among Ugandans, political candidates, and even the current government.
He called on the government to ensure a peaceful environment that allows all citizens to participate in elections freely and without fear.
Bishop Wanok also highlighted that the birth of Jesus Christ brings peace and love to all, urging everyone to embrace these values during the festive season and beyond.
