The Archbishop of Kampala, His Grace Paul Ssemogerere warns against the gospel of quick fix and prosperity that is attracting many Christians nowadays.
He says God works miracles and grants prosperity at his will but Christian life can never be separated from the cross.
Archbishop Ssemogerere who is also the chairperson of the commission of the laity and lay apostolate at the Uganda Episcopal conference says amidst the challenges, young people should always turn to God for more lasting treasures and values of a heavenly nature.
The archbishop’s message was delivered by the Bishop of Kasana Luweero Diocese, Rt. Rev. Lawrence Mukasa to the young people gathered in Gulu Archdiocese for their national youth conference.
Mass was led by Mbarara ecclesiastical province. The conference that started on Tuesday 9th December this week is ending on Sunday 14th December 2025.
