Museveni Promises Milk-Chocolate Factory and Industrial Park in Bundibugyo

NRM Presidential Candidate, General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni

National Resistance Movement (NRM) Presidential Candidate, General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, has promised to establish a Milk-Chocolate factory and a conglomerate industrial park in Bundibugyo District, aimed at adding value to the area’s vast cocoa and mineral resources.

Speaking at the NRM presidential campaign rally at Bumadu Playgrounds in Bundibugyo District, Rwenzori Sub-region, Museveni revealed that he has already identified potential investors to bring the milk-chocolate factory to life.

The factory, he explained, is expected to create thousands of jobs and provide a steady market for local cocoa farmers.

In addition to the milk-chocolate factory, Museveni encouraged the people of Bundibugyo and the Rwenzori Sub-region to scale up cocoa farming as a profitable economic enterprise, focusing on wealth creation at both individual and household levels.

He also outlined plans for major financial investments, which will be required to realize these ambitious projects.

Museveni emphasized that Bundibugyo residents should diversify into other commercial agriculture ventures such as coffee farming, fish farming, fruit growing, poultry, and dairy farming to boost their incomes and local economies.

Furthermore, President Museveni unveiled plans to expand the Bundibugyo District General Hospital, alongside other health centers that will undergo upgrades in the region.
