Police Warn Against Forged Documents in Recruitment of 100,000 Special Constables

The Uganda Police Force has warned the public against submitting forged documents during the upcoming recruitment of Special Police Constables, cautioning that anyone caught will face arrest and prosecution.

The force plans to recruit 100,000 constables to serve as polling officers during the upcoming election period.

Speaking to journalists at Police Headquarters in Naguru, Police Spokesperson Kituuma Rusoke said the recruits will be employed on a three-month contract.

He outlined the key requirements for applicants, which include a PLE pass slip, a National ID, and recommendation letters from the village and sub-county chairpersons, as well as the Gombolola Internal Security Officer.

Kituuma also revealed that each successful recruit will earn a monthly wage of Shs 469,000.
