Three Killed, One Injured in Motorcycle Accident Along Kampala-Hoima Highway

Police have confirmed that three people were killed and one injured in a motorcycle accident that occurred today (Monday) at around 8:30 a.m. in Kyoga village, Namusera parish, Wakiso town council, along the Kampala-Hoima highway.

According to police reports, a red Bajaj Boxer motorcycle (registration UGD 327F) carrying four passengers from Hoima to Kampala suddenly stopped to avoid colliding with a parked Sinotruk and an oncoming vehicle. All four occupants fell off the motorcycle.

The deceased have been identified as Shafick Byandagalo, 28, the rider; Robinson Galabuzi, 27; and Shafick Jjemba, 23.  

The injured passenger, Edison from Nkoowe village, Kaliti parish, Mende sub-county, Wakiso district, was rushed to a nearby medical center for treatment.

Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson SSP Patrick Onyango said traffic officers responded promptly, recorded witness statements, and transported the bodies to Mulago City Mortuary for postmortem examination. Investigations into the accident are ongoing.
