Judicial Training Institute Begins Induction for New Court of Appeal Justices

The Judicial Training Institute (JTI) has commenced a five-day induction program for newly appointed justices of the Court of Appeal.

The training, held at Imperial Golf Course Hotel in Entebbe, started today (Monday).

Among the participating justices are Hon. Justice Musa Ssekaana, Hon. Justice Stella Alibateesa, Justice John Mike Musis, Hon. Lady Justice Esta Nambayo, and others.

The induction aims to facilitate a smooth transition into their appellate roles while fostering teamwork within the Court of Appeal.

The training is designed to enhance the timely and quality delivery of justice.

Deputy Chief Justice, Justice Dr. Flavian Zeija, who represented Chief Justice Alfonse Chigamoy Owiny-Dollo at the opening, emphasized the importance of equipping justices with the perspectives and tools needed to strengthen consistency and efficiency in appellate adjudication.

Throughout the program, participants will engage in plenary discussions to deepen their understanding and collaboration.
