The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has today distributed Zakayo Category One match balls to all 16 Uganda Premier League clubs, reinforcing its commitment to ongoing competition reforms and professionalizing local football.

During a handover ceremony held at FUFA headquarters in Mengo, each club received 30 official Zakayo balls the standard match balls used in all FUFA-sanctioned competitions.

The total value of the distribution is estimated at 50 million Uganda shillings.

FUFA’s 3rd Vice President and Competition Executive Supervisor, Hon. Florence Nakiwala, presided over the event, emphasizing that the initiative reflects FUFA’s strategic goal of improving the quality, consistency, and professionalism of the game across the country.

This latest move adds to a series of reforms aimed at elevating football standards in Uganda and ensuring that clubs are adequately equipped for competitive play.
