Security agencies have finalized preparations to ensure a safe and successful international match between the Uganda Cranes and Senegal, set for tomorrow, Saturday, August 23, at Namboole Mandela National Stadium.

According to Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson SSP Patrick Onyango, a comprehensive security plan has been implemented across the Kampala Metropolitan Area, with heavy deployments along all major routes leading to the stadium.

The public is urged to adhere to official guidance to help reduce congestion and ensure the safety of all attendees.

Fans traveling to Namboole, especially those using the Jinja-Kampala Highway, are advised to plan their journeys early.

Stadium gates will open at 12:00 PM, and early arrival is strongly encouraged to avoid last-minute crowds and traffic delays.

The Uganda Cranes will face Senegal in the quarterfinals of the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) tournament.
