ULS Unveils Mercedes-Benz Challenge

The President of the Uganda Law Society (ULS), Isaac Kimaze Ssemakadde, has called on both legal professionals and the general public to actively participate in the upcoming Digital Transformation Festival, an event designed to equip participants with essential tools and skills for navigating the evolving digital landscape.

Speaking during a media briefing, Ssemakadde highlighted the significance of the festival, which is scheduled to take place from August 14 to 15 at the Commonwealth Resort, Munyonyo.

He emphasized that the event will empower members with digital competencies while reinforcing the core values of the legal profession.

Ssemakadde said this festival is not just about innovation; it’s about embracing the digital era without losing sight of the integrity and ethical standards that define our profession.

As part of the festival’s unique attractions, the Uganda Law Society has introduced the “Mercedes-Benz Challenge” a symbol of aspiration and professional excellence.

Winners of the challenge stand a chance to walk away with exclusive rewards including a Mercedes-Benz, a trip for two, and a luxury home experience.

ULS Vice President Anthony Asiimwe added that the festival will showcase innovations, the adoption of new legal-tech methods, and digital transformation strategies.

He urged legal practitioners to embrace technology in order to remain relevant and competitive.

“The legal profession must adapt to the times. Embracing technology is no longer optional it’s essential for survival and growth,” Asiimwe remarked.

Tony Galandi Kiire, Chairperson of the Festival Organizing Committee, extended appreciation to the sponsors supporting the event.

He emphasized that the festival aligns with President Ssemakadde’s vision of digitalization and making legal services more accessible to the public.

The Digital Transformation Festival is expected to draw legal practitioners, tech innovators, and thought leaders to discuss and showcase the future of law in a digital-first world.
