JEEMA Raises Concern Over Frequent Changes to Electoral Roadmap

JEEMA party’s spokesperson, Dr. Swaib Kaggwa Nsereko

The opposition party, Justice Forum (JEEMA), has expressed concern over the Electoral Commission’s ongoing alterations to the national electoral roadmap, describing the changes as disruptive and made without adequate stakeholder input.

JEEMA says the frequent adjustments are creating uncertainty among political parties and candidates.

The party’s spokesperson, Dr. Swaib Kaggwa Nsereko, warned that these irregular updates could lead to job losses for aspiring candidates and reduce public interest in political participation.

Dr. Kaggwa urged the Electoral Commission to take the process seriously and involve stakeholders in decision-making to ensure a smooth, trustworthy electoral process.

He called for a collaborative, consensus-driven approach to promote transparency, stability, and inclusivity in Uganda’s elections.
