Police offer UGX 50 million reward in Entebbe double murder case

The Uganda Police have announced a UGX 50 million rewards for anyone with credible information leading to the arrest of the suspect involved in the brutal murder of David Mutaaga, 69, and his wife Deborah Florence Mutaaga, 62.

The couple was tragically killed in their home in Lugonjo Nakiwogo Cell, Entebbe Municipality, on Sunday, July 6, 2025.

According to police, the search for the suspect is being conducted in collaboration with other security agencies, with efforts underway to gather crucial evidence.

Police spokesperson Kituuma Rusoke revealed that a recording of the suspect’s voice has been obtained and circulated on social media and the police website to help with identification.

Rusoke noted that investigators believe the attack may have been premeditated, and are not ruling out robbery or intent to kill as possible motives.
