Archbishop Ssemogerere urges Centenary Bank staff to emulate Uganda’s Martyrs in upholding integrity

Archbishop of Kampala, His Grace Paul Ssemogerere

The Archbishop of Kampala, His Grace Paul Ssemogerere, has called on Centenary Bank employees to embody the bravery and integrity of Uganda’s martyrs in their daily operations.

His remarks came during a special Eucharist Mass held at Mapeera House, Centenary Bank’s headquarters, to mark the 13th anniversary of the bank’s Chaplaincy.

During his address, Archbishop Ssemogerere drew parallels between the steadfastness of the Ugandan martyrs, who stood firm in their faith despite persecution, and the responsibilities of Centenary Bank’s staff.

He urged them to remain resolute in their duties, emphasizing the importance of integrity and transparency in every aspect of their work.

The Archbishop also cautioned against any actions that could tarnish the bank’s reputation or undermine its values.

Centenary Bank’s commitment to community welfare was highlighted, with the bank contributing UGX 100 million towards the construction and 100th-anniversary celebrations of Lubaga Cathedral.

Archbishop Ssemogerere praised the bank for its continued generosity and support to the community, while also acknowledging the Chaplaincy’s 13 years of dedicated service in providing spiritual guidance to the bank’s employees.

The Eucharist Mass celebration was attended by Centenary Bank staff and management, including the Bank’s Managing Director, Fabian Kassi, who expressed gratitude to the Archbishop for his prayers and pledged continued financial support towards the ongoing construction of Lubaga Cathedral and the upcoming centenary celebrations, slated for 26th October 2025.
