A total of 47 suspects have been arrested and charged with possession of narcotic drugs following an intelligence-led operation conducted by Wandegeya Police.
The operation, which began around 8:30 p.m., targeted known criminal hotspots in Kafeero, Lower Nsooba, Kalerwe, and Katanga zones.
It aimed to enhance community safety by addressing drug-related activity and other crimes in the area.
Patrick Onyango, Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, praised the professionalism and discipline displayed by officers during the operation, describing it as an example of effective policing.
He added that the success of the operation underscores the importance of regular, targeted enforcement efforts in ensuring public safety and combating crime.
