PostBank donates livestock to mosques ahead of Eid al-Adha, Urges support for needy Muslims

Martin Lukyamuzi, PostBank’s Regional Head of Distribution for Greater Kampala

As the Muslim community prepares to mark Eid al-Adha, expected to begin on Friday, June 6, 2025, and end on Saturday, June 7, 2025, calls have been made to well-off and compassionate Muslims to support the less fortunate so that all can take part in the celebrations.

PostBank Uganda has taken the lead by donating livestock, including cows, sheep, and goats, to key mosques in Arua, Mbale, and Bombo, regions where the bank maintains a strong presence through its branch network.

At Masjid Swaleh in Bombo, Mufti Muhammad Kadala, who received the donations on behalf of the mosque leadership, expressed gratitude to PostBank for reaching out to the Muslim community in Bombo and other rural areas.

He stated that the donated animals will help many underprivileged families who cannot afford sacrificial livestock to participate in the Eid celebrations with dignity and joy.

Mufti Kadala encouraged other generous individuals and institutions to follow PostBank’s example, ensuring that no Muslim is left out due to financial hardship.

Martin Lukyamuzi, PostBank’s Regional Head of Distribution for Greater Kampala, also addressed the gathering and thanked the leadership of Bombo Mosque for their ongoing spiritual guidance and community support.

Lukyamuzi affirmed that PostBank remains committed to advancing the prosperity of its customers and communities in Bombo and other parts of Uganda.

He highlighted the importance of shared growth and supporting community initiatives that align with values of compassion and unity.
