The Government of Uganda has reiterated its commitment to fostering a conducive environment for private sector-led development.
This assurance was delivered by Hon. Lilian Aber on behalf of Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja during the graduation ceremony of 48 entrepreneurs who completed the 2024 Stanbic Business Incubator program.
The graduates underwent a nine-month Supplier Development Program aimed at enhancing local business capacity and competitiveness.
In her remarks, Nabbanja emphasized the government’s continued dedication under President Yoweri Museveni’s leadership to empowering the private sector as a key engine of economic growth.
She cited initiatives such as the Parish Development Model (PDM) and Growth Opportunities for Wealth and Regional Development (GROW) as examples of strategic government programs that entrepreneurs can tap into to expand their businesses and improve livelihoods.
The Prime Minister also urged Ugandans to adopt digital technologies across all sectors to increase efficiency and innovation in their work.
