Yasin Omari re-elected NRM flag bearer in Muyenga Hill, village committees unopposed

Members of the National Resistance Movement Organization (NRM) in Muyenga Hill have today re-elected Yasin Omari as the NRM party flag bearer in the LCI elections that are expected next year.

The NRM party election officer who has been in charge of these elections in Makindye East, Hassan Majid, again declared Yasin Omari as the chairperson of the NRM party in Muyenga Hill, Makindye division, in the NRM party structural elections at village level that have been conducted today.

Surprisingly, all 30 members of the village committees in Muyenga Hill have been unopposed.

These include the women league, youth league, persons with disability, veteran league, elder league, and the mainstream committee.

Among those elected unopposed in Muyenga Hill village include Mary Lamunu as chairperson women league, Pretty Nalumansi as the chairperson youth league, Ronald Nsamba as the chairperson persons with disability, Silva Habitwana as the chairperson veteran league, Robinah Lwasa as the chairperson Elder League, and Yasin Omari as the chairperson of the Mainstream committee.

Speaking to NRM members immediately after being declared unopposed, Omari vowed to continue uniting and working on issues that affect the people in the area.

Among the issues cited that are affecting people include garbage and power blackouts in the area.
