Buganda kingdom has pledged total support to the new British High Commissioner to Uganda, Lisa Chesney.

This has been disclosed by the Katikkiro of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga as Chesney paid a courtesy visit to the kingdom’s headquarters at Bulange-Mengo, saying they had signed various agreements between the two institutions during the term of office of the former British High Commissioner to Uganda, Lindy Cameron in 2024.

Mayiga also re-echoed the agreement signed between the Kingdom of Buganda and the Duke of Edinburgh Prince Edward who visited the kingdom last year in which he promised to help the youths through skilling and empowering them which hasn’t been fulfilled at the moment.

He says welcoming Chesney to the kingdom will ensure continuity of various agreements signed between the two institutions.

Meanwhile, the new British High Commissionerto Uganda, Lisa Chesney thanked the kingdom of Buganda for the warm welcome and promised total support and collaboration with the kingdom.
