The protesters, who gathered in two small groups, marched towards the High Court in Kampala, carrying placards that called for the release of Advocate Eron Kiiza, who was convicted of contempt of court in the General Court Martial and sentenced to nine months at Kitalya Government Hospital in Kampala.

Kiiza was part of the team of lawyers representing Dr. Kizza Besigye and Haji Obeid Lutale Kamulegeya who are facing charges of illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

Patrick Onyango, the Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson says that the suspects are seven in number identified as; Agatha Atuhairwe who is the mobilizer, George Otieno, Godwin Toko, Akram Mubala Akram, Norah Kobusinge, Khatondi Wepuhulu and Praise Aloikin Opoloje.

Onyango says that two of the arrested women, Norah Kobusinge and Praise Aloikin had previously participated in the naked walk to Parliament some time in 2024.
