Msgr. Constantine Rupiny to be Installed as Nebbi Bishop on 22nd February 2025

The consecration and installation of the Bishop-elect for Nebbi Catholic Diocese, Constantine Rupiny, has been scheduled for February 22nd 2025. 

This was confirmed by the Chancellor Nebbi Catholic Diocese, Rev. Fr. Robert Lukwiya Ochola through a statement in which he revealed that Msgr. Rupiny’s concentration and installation date as the new Bishop of Nebbi diocese is fixed for Saturday February 22nd 2025, and thereafter a thanksgiving mass will be held the following day on Sunday, February 23rd, which is also the Nebbi Diocesan Day.

Okaba Sam, the Head of Laity at the diocese has rallied for support from the Christian community towards this occasion.

Born on November 10th 1974 in Parombo, Nebbi Diocese, Fr. Rupiny was ordained a priest on August 28th 2004. 

He holds advanced degrees, including a Doctorate in Dogmatic Theology from Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw, Poland. 

Over his career, he has served as Parish Priest, Formator, Professor, Vice President of the Presbyteral Council, and Vice-Rector, among other roles.

Since September 2023, he has been the Rector of Uganda Martyrs’ National Major Seminary.
