The Electoral Commission Chairman, Justice Byabakama says all voters who relocated to other places due to the effects of COVID19 are free to write to the commission requesting to be relocated to their desirable voting areas.

Speaking to the commission’s chairman today, he confirms that the constitution permits the voter to demand for relocation even when the final display exercise was concluded.

Byabkama adds that the request must show strong circumstances for the relocation accompanied with letters from the village council chairperson.

During the three months lockdown a good number of voters were forced to move back to their respective villages yet they had registered as voters in Kampala metropolitan area.
