Uganda Revenue Authority has so far collected approximately 13 trillion shillings out of the 15 trillion shillings target for this financial year 2017/2018.

According to Vincent Sseruma the assistant commissioner corporate affairs the commission hopes to collect the balance before the end of this financial year.

This comes when it’s just a day to the budget reading for the next financial year 2018/19 estimated at 32 trillion shillings.

Meanwhile in a bid to create public awareness on the new tax policies and administration, URA continues to pro actively engage tax payers under the regional breakfast forum and for this quarter is to take place on June18th June in various places around the country with the view of fostering tax payment compliance and reinforce a social contract with the public.
