Uganda Joint Christian Council UJCC have called for prayers that will build social cohesion, good governance and national reconciliation if Uganda is to get rid of the rampant murders.

The executive secretary of Uganda Joint Christian Council (UJCC) Rev. Constantine Mbonabingi during a press conference in Nsambya said the waves of killing in different parts of the country worry the citizens noting that religious leaders have a big role to see that people understand what the Holy Scriptures demand of each person.

He calls upon government to embrace peaceful approaches to resolving conflicts as the nation begins a long journey to a sustainable and prosperous Uganda.

They have also demanded security agencies to account to the country all the incidents of murder and insecurity that have cost lives and property of a number of people.

Meanwhile he sends condolences to families that have lost thie dear ones who were brutality killed.
