The Episcopal Vicar of Mitalamaria Vicariate Fr. Denis Kizito has challenged Ugandans to test any person vying for leadership as the country approaches 2021 general elections.

Drawing from the biblical scriptures on how King Herode behaved while at the helm of the throne in Israel, Fr. Kizito said, leading at the expense of the others depicts bad leadership; full of hatred, selfishness, greed, envy and wickedness.

Fr.  Kizito says at the time when Ugandans are gauging political contestants; it is good to have leaders who are ready to address the plight of the electorate than buying them off with money or simple items. Such cheap politics has affected Uganda since its independence.

He says the pillars to good leadership are humility, civilization and faith. These pillars bring leaders, who respect people, promote unity than sectarianism and tribalism, strive for development and self sustenance.

Election for special interest groups is almost complete and parliamentary and presidential elections nominations, campaigns and elections start in September to February 2021.
