Uganda isn’t bothered by reports that Rwanda has amassed troops along Gatuna border to stop Rwandan citizens from crossing into Uganda,

According to the Government spokesperson Ofwono Opondo, there is no law that stops Rwandan government from deploying within its territorial boundaries but it would be bad incase it deployed beyond its area.

Media reports indicate that Rwandan soldiers have stationed on the hills of the Mukaniga, Byumba and Buganza on the Rwanda side.

Rwandan soldiers were equally seen at Chanika border, which borders Kisoro district patrolling their territory.

Opondo reveled to the press at the Uganda media center that President Yoweri Museveni has advised government officials to stop responding to issues raised by Rwanda government officials.

Opondo also said Uganda can’t stop Rwanda from blocking its citizens from crossing to Uganda.

And whatever means they use, he said it’s not Uganda’s concern.

The row between the two countries started on Wednesday last week when Rwanda closed its boarders which paralyzing the movement of goods and services across the borders of the two countries.

Rwanda claimed that it closed the border to upgrade the One Stop Border Post.
