Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) has been accused of head hunting employees without advertizing.

This is after the Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises (COSASE), received information that top positions in UNRA aren’t advertised but rather handpicked.

The committee members have now directed UNRA Executive Director Allen Kagina to submit a list of all their top 10 staff members across the country for scrutiny.

The chairperson of the committee who is also the MP for Kawempe south Mubarak Munyagwa asked UNRA to submit a comprehensive report on recruitment and explain why they opt for headhunting.

However, the Director of Human resource at UNRA Jenifer kagwa defended the head hunting recruitment process on grounds that in some instances they require critical skills and competence for the job.
