National campaign manager for Alliance national transformation presidential candidate Mugisha Muntu, Wiinie Kiiza has described the current presidential tail campaigns as unfair for opposition candidates.

Kiiza says that apart from the limited time frame that was allocated to them by electoral commission, these campaigns have had very heavy security deployment which has denied them the chance to reach out to voters the way they would have liked.

She says that the electoral commission allocated them  around 60 days of campaigning time to converse for votes in the 146 districts in the country which she says has required them to travel in three to four districts a day.

Kiiza says that the limited time period has affected their ability to reach out to voters as they are not allowed to hold mass rallies and says that they have found themselves having to speak to the 200 voters in 20 minutes to be able to move to other districts as voters want to listen and see the candidate before they can make their decision.

Kiiza also says that their campaigning abilities have been affected by the poor connectivity in some parts of the country saying that so far they have failed to go to two districts because of the connectivity from one district to another.

Her comments come on the 17th day of the general campaigns for the Presidential, Parliamentary and Local government elective leaders for the next 5 year political term 2021/26.
