The Chairman of Pine Car Bond Muhammad Sebuufu has appeared before High Court judge Anglin Senoga and denied charges of murder of a businesswoman Donah Katushabe as alleged by state.

Sebuufu is accused along with seven other people, of torturing Katushabe to death in 2015, who owed his company some money from a car she purchased from him.

The other suspects in this case include Tasingika Paul, Damaseni Sentongo, Kayinza Godfrey, Mirambe Philip, Shaban Oduttu and Yoweri Kitayimbwa. But the former CPS DPC Aaron Baguma was removed from the suspects’ list after the DPP withdrew charges against him.

In their plea, Sebuufu and his co-accused denied the offences read to them saying on the alleged date he was in appearing before court in Mengo.

Although the matter was set for hearing today, it didn’t happen as the defence counsel informed court that they were not ready, because prosecution served them late and needed time to go through their documents.

Meanwhile, one of Sebuufu’s lawyers Noel Nuwe told court that his client had intentions to enter a plea-bargaining deal with the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).

But the judge adjourned the case to Thursday 8th and asked the parties to come ready for the hearing.
