Residents of Kitimbwa town council in Kayunga district have burnt to ashes a sugarcane truck for knocking a bodaboda rider.

The truck registration Number UAF 652J belonging to Madhivan group has been burnt to ashes for knocking Jimmy Ssebukyu a bodaboda rider who operates on the Kitimbwa-Kayunga town route.

Ssebukyu who was riding a Bajaj bike UDZ 770H has sustained a fracture on the right leg and other body injuries.

He has been rushed to Kitimbwa HCIII for medical attention.

Stanley Awuki, the Officer in Charge-OC of Kitimbwa Police Station says they have pulled the truck frame to the station and investigations have commenced.

In another development A 28-year-old Woman Judith Kansiime, who went missing in Kibaale district has been found dead.

Kansiime, a resident of Kicunda village Kicunda parish in Kasimbi Sub County went missing from their home on February 16, 2021, until today when her lifeless body was found this morning lying in a nearby bush in the same village.

Julius Hakiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson confirmed the incident saying so far one suspect identified as Gestephas Nkuuna, the former boyfriend to the deceased has been arrested to help police with investigations since preliminary information shows that the Kansiime was first raped before she was strangled to death.
