Public way of the cross is not a show off

The Bishop of Kasana-Luweero Diocesan Rt. Rev. Paul Ssemogerere asked Christians to use the Way of cross event to pray to God and remember the crucifixion of Jesus Christ to take away our sins.

Ssemogerere added that Way of Cross is not a show-off event by Christians.

The Luweero Anglican Diocesan Bishop Eldard Nsubuga Kironde expressed worry of the crime rates yet there exists churches that put Christians into right direction.

Nsubuga explained that surprisingly in Europe where churches are being sold and turned into entertainment places, there are declining crime rates and prisons are closing down.

The Luweero District Woman Member of Parliament Lillian Nakate who also participated in the ecumenical way of the cross said the Bishops’ message were timely and asked residents to love each other as Jesus did.
