The Mufti of Uganda Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubajje has asked Ugandans to pray for the country in the wake of panga wielding men that are now cited in Bukomansimbi and Lwengo districts.

Representing the Inter Religious Council of Uganda (IRCU) at the final sendoff of the late Archbishop of Church of Uganda Livingston Mpalanyi Nkoyoyo, Mubajje says the country needs prayers so that people die with reasons but not under criminals.

He further applauded the late for being among those that started IRCU in 2002 and later the African Council of Religious Leaders in 2003.

Mufuti Mubajje together with the leader of Born Again Faith Community in Uganda Pr. Joseph Serwadda, they presented condolences and a contribution of UGX 500,000 from the Inter Religious Council of Uganda Secretariat to the bereaved family.

Meanwhile, Prince Kassim Nakibinge, the titular head of Muslims in Uganda based at Kibuli Mosque applauded the Late Nkoyooyo for his faithfulness and for protecting the Church of Uganda properties especially the Namugongo Martyrs Shrine.
