Following the full reopening of the economy and entertainment places today after nearly two years of the pandemic-related lockdown, Police have reminded the bars and night clubs owners to deploy trained personnel that could control crowds.

In an interview on Sunday by the local television stations, President Yoweri Museveni reaffirmed that entertainment, bars, discos, cinemas and other sectors that have not been operating due to the Covid19 pandemic will be fully reopened today.

Addressing journalists at Naguru in Kampala today, Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga says that the proprietors of these reopened places should ensure that the venues are clean and attendees observe the Standard Operative Procedures –SOPs.

However, Enanga emphasizes that restrictions on the movement of bodabodas are still on and people are reminded to use other means of transport when moving at night.
