Uganda police has applauded its sister security agencies for the coordination that allowed a smooth and peaceful Kabaka’s birthday run that was held on Sunday.
The Kampala Metropolitan police Deputy Spokesperson Luke Oweyesigire says there was neither no lost property nor accident reported in the 5, 10 and 20 Kilometers distances ran by well-wishers during the campaign of contributing towards the treatment of Sickle Cells victims.
The annual Kabaka Birthday Run, which is the 5th of this kind, preceded the main celebrations of 64th Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II birthday which are expected on Saturday April 13th in Bulemeezi Luweero district.
Meanwhile, Oweyesigire has revealed that police has rescued properties worth millions from the fire outbreak at Uganda prisons headquarters in Kampala early this morning.
