Uganda Police Force is analyzing the footage from the CCTV cameras under an investigation of establishing why officers on a police van that was near yesterday’s accident that led to the death of People Power Member Rita Nabukenya, failed to arrest the two bodaboda cyclists and impound the motorcycles at the scene of crime.

Nabukenya according to police died after an accident in which two bodbodas including the one she was ridden on collided and crashed while trying to overtake the police patrol van along Naguru road behind Nakawa Market in Nakawa division.

The Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga says that their van is currently parked at Jinja Road Police Station undergoing inspection though it is intact with no damages on it.

He further accuses the Kyadondo East Member of Parliament and also the People Power leader Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine for deliberately orchestrating the incident for his political leverage to cover up the fact that the victim died of crash injuries caused by the double bodaboda accident.

Enanga however, clarifies that by the time of that accident the deceased was wearing a black light trouser with a cream blouse and nothing like a red attire or cap associated to Bobi Wine’s People Power Movement.
