Police have vowed to apprehend the unknown suspects that allegedly attacked and robbed Nswanjere Junior Seminary in Muduuma Sub county, Mpigi district on Monday night.

 

It is alleged that unknown assailants gained entrance into the seminary by cutting barbed wires fencing the school and proceeded to rob the Institution of various items including a TV, mobile phones, cash, a laptop, and the church Tabernacle .

 

According to the information, Fr Godfrey Kyeyune, the Vice Rector at Nswanjere Junior Seminary was beaten and injured on the left hand while Fr. Emmanuel Mukukule was also assaulted and injured on the head and is currently admitted at Lubaga hospital.

 

Rev. Fr. John Bosco Kigundu and Bro. John Bosco Mwasa was also robbed of cash and mobile phones.

 

Luke Owoyesigyire, the Deputy Police Spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan says that the suspects are still at large, and the force is currently conducting inquiries to apprehend them.

 

He says that the Wakiso Police team visited the scene, collected evidence including recorded statements from relevant witnesses and an exhibit of a grey bag containing coins amounting to four thousand shillings was recovered a few meters from the scene.

 

However, Owoyesigyire assures the public that it will do everything within its power to bring the perpetrators to justice and ensure the safety and security of the residents in the area.

 

He urges the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the police promptly.
