Uganda Police force is investigates on 2 officers ; copola Moshi Keffa and Molise Montayi over suspected attempted Murder of the one Samuel Ssekitoleko, a resident of Myanzi, Kasanda District during the yesterday’s riots following reports that the health condition of their area MP Francis Zaake was deteriorating.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Martin Okoth Ochola in his statement presented by the police spokesperson AIGP Emilian Kayima during the press conference today at police headquarters Naguru said the two officers their guns were used and the police has not yet confirmed whose gun killed the person.
Kayima adds that 23 people were arrested and are going tobe taken to courts of law to face justice.
He has disclosed that apart from one who was shot dead 5 others were injured which include Ms Dorren Assimwe, Ms Jalia Nakamya, Mr Lawrence Jingo, Mr Derrick Ssengomba and Mr Richard Muwonge –all residents of Mityana.
He calls upon all people especially those in Mityana to keep calm and desist from any activities that break the law.
