Opposition leader in parliament not happy with Police over Bobi Wine

The Leader of Opposition-LOP, Betty Aol Ochan has attacked Police for blocking the concert of Kyadondo East Member of Parliament, Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine yesterday at One Love Beach Busabala in disregard of a parliamentary resolution.

Heavily armed police officers backed by armored vehicles and water cannons deployed at the beach in the wee hours of Boxing Day and dispersed the organisers and people who had turned up for the show.

Aol Ochan says that the police decision to block Bobi Wine’s concerts is unacceptable and unethical adding that ever to regard parliamentary decision as nothing since they are not in line with President Museveni is detrimental to the democracy of this country.

She advised Bobi Wine to go to court and sue individual police officers commanding a clampdown on his concerts in violation of a parliamentary resolution.

This morning Police and the UPDF rushed to quell pockets of roits in Kamwokya and Katwe in Kampala where angry youths blocked Old Kiira road in Kamwokya and Katwe along Entebbe road and lit fire using old tyres and logs to express dissatisfaction with the police decision to block Bobi Wine’s concert yet they cleared Bebe Cool’s in Kiwatule which they termed as double standards.

While interfacing with the press Moses Ssali alias Bebe Cool has urged Bobi Wine to ‘balance his boat’ and choose when to be an artiste and when to be a politician because he is making it difficult for his organizers to do their work.
