NRM Electoral Commission releases EALA elections roadmap

The Ruling National Resistance Movement Party (NRM) has today released its Roadmap for EALA elections 2022.

In an address to the press at the NRM’s electoral Commission Offices today, Tanga Odoi the chairman NRM electoral Commission , revealed that expression of interests starts today Tuesday 28th/June/2022 at 2pm up to Thursday 30th/June/2022 at the party electoral commission offices.

Tanga said that the party has six (6) slots which are going to be fought for by eligible candidates.

Tanga adds that eligible candidates must be a Ugandan Citizen,18years and above, a registered member of NRM party, with an A’Level academic stand or it’s equivalent, must not be a public servant, not a member of the armed forces, not a cultural or traditional leader and a registered voter.

He has disclosed that any member who Wishes to contest for the position of NRM flag bearer for EALA shall deliver a written expression of interest and updated curriculum vitae (CV) to the chairperson NRM  EC at plot 13 Kyadondo Road.  Then after nominations on Friday 1st/July/ 2022, The NRM electoral Commission shall present names of interested candidates to the NRM Central Executive Committee (CEC) which upon consideration shall recommend names for elections to the NRM parliamentary caucus.

The NRM EC shall appoint a date, time and place for nomination and election of the candidates.
