The Inspectorate of Government (IG) will not conduct any fresh investigations on the report by the Parliamentary Committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises (COSASE) in relation to Bank of Uganda (BoU).

This has been revealed by the Inspector General of Government (IGG), Irene Mulyagonja explaining that the committee never made any recommendation for them to investigate alleged unlawful sell off banks.

Mulyagonja has noted that they will only work out on the matters of the former Bank of Uganda (BoU) Executive Director in-charge Supervision, Justine Bagyenda about her wealth which was directed to them.

She was unveiling preparations for the forthcoming 9th Commonwealth regional conference for heads of anti-corruption agencies in Africa that is to be held in Uganda  at Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort in Kigo from May 6th to 11th 2019.

The conference that is to run under the theme “Time to Act Prevent Corruption for sustainable Development “will provide a unique platform for sharing emerging anti- corruption best practices and country innovations in the fight against corruption that has become a global challenge.
