National unity platform has been cautioned to act fast on the colors they would love to use as a party to avoid inconveniences.

According to the electoral commission chairperson, Justice Byabakama the colors NUP wants to use are being used by UPC, making it hard for the commission to accept two political parties to use the same colors.

Now the chairman is asking NUP leadership to move very fast and file new colours they intend to use as a party.

NUP is now famously known for using dominant red, blue and black colours said to be used by UPC.

Meanwhile the president of the Uganda People’s Congress Jimmy Akena insists that it’s the role of the Electoral Commission to rescue their red color that has been hijacked by the National Unity Platform (NUP) and People Power Pressure Group.

Akena’s comments followed yesterday’s response from the NUP spokesperson Joel Ssenyonyi who advised UPC to go to court if they’re aggrieved emphasizing that they won’t drop the red color.

Meanwhile, Norbert Mao the Democratic Party (DP) President says there is no need for people to fight over colours but instead their arrangement on certain party logs.
